Fragmented Fridays

December 17, 2009

My Google Reader has been acting up. It keeps telling me I've signed out when I have not. Stupid liar! It keeps marking things I've read as unread so I have no idea how much I truly haven't read.  I have no idea why Google Reader is trying to f@ck with me, but I'm getting pissed. I want to clear the list, but instead I feel like a modern day Sisyphus continually scrolling through my reader only to have it tell me I haven't read everything so back to the top I go. Ugh!!!

I have iritis in my left eye. I was going to do research and tell you about it, but now that I've started doing the research all I want to do is cry. I'm putting steroid drops in my eye every hour and I hope it clears up.  My poor Beautiful Brown Eyes have not been doing well. I have to stop writing about it because I feel my chest tensing up and the tears welling up. Wish me luck.

Okay I wrote the rest of the post, but I had to come back and write a little more about my eye. I'm terrified. The internet is a blessing and a curse. I knew that my condition was serious because my doctor made it very clear that I needed to be very diligent about using my eye drops every hour without fail, but....now I've read all this stuff online and I don't want to lose my sight. Please don't let me lose my sight. Damn, I had no idea. I'm so bummed.

Nice, I'm watching TV as I write this and I just saw Dick in a Box. Just the thing I need to feel better. I don't care how many times I see it, it always puts a smile on my face. I mean how could it not?

My husband saw a baby wearing a shirt that said, "My Daddy is cooler than yours" and he took it personally. Later when he was telling me about it, he said he had to resist the urge to go up to the mother and say, "My daughter is cuter than yours." I find it adorable that he takes such pride in being a father that he would get offended by a "message" tee.

In honor of my husband I would like to leave you with  a little bit of Christmas Hawaii style.
