Wow, that is a beautiful merry go round. Our town recently got rid of one of those and sold each piece for like $15,000. It was over 100 years old.

Kristin_The_Goat July 4, 2010 at 5:43 am

Oh goodness, what a lovely carousel. I especially like the giraffe – so fancy with that flower :)

Joanna Jenkins July 4, 2010 at 5:47 am

Is that a giraffe!?!?!?! How fun is that. I love the old fashioned carousels. the craftsmanship is beautiful.

Happy July 4th Mami

i-ha-haa! (that's how horses talk in Finnish) :)
Your shots make a carousel look like zoo.
Happy July 4th!

Raymonde July 4, 2010 at 8:05 am

Oh, wow superb photos, the colours are amazing. I love merry go rounds. Did you go on it, or is it only for children?

Have a great 4th July. xxx

Tara R. July 4, 2010 at 11:37 am

The carousel is so beautiful. These shots bring back some lovely childhood memories.

TechnoBabe July 4, 2010 at 12:24 pm

Is the carousel in Golden Gate Park? Nice pictures. Wherever it is, they sure take care of the animals on the carousel. Hope you and your family have a great fourth of July, Mami.

Kerri, I miss you. I stopped by the other day, but didn't leave a comment because my daughter was fussing.

Hope you have a Happy 4th!

immyyas July 4, 2010 at 4:42 pm

Gorgeous!!! We have one around here, but definitely not as pretty as yours. Something so magical about these, isn't there!

VM Sehy Photography July 4, 2010 at 5:18 pm

I love carousels. Too bad so many of them are being sold off. There goes history again. And the artwork is beautiful. Be nice to leave them where we can all enjoy the beauty instead of selling them off to private collectors.

Rene W. July 4, 2010 at 5:28 pm

Try grabbing the code from my sidebar instead of the code in my post. For some reason the code in the post is adding extra quotation marks when being copied. I'm sorry.
