Sometimes I think my life could be dated as my life before wipes (BW) and my life after wipes (AW). Of course I’m talking about baby wipes. Parenting is a messy, messy and sometimes stressful job.
As the mami of a 3 year-old (no longer in diapers, but messy none the less) and a 17 month-old (deep in the trenches of diapers and wipes), I know a thing or two about tackling parenting messes and stress. And why have a blog if I’m not willing to share these tips? Here you go…
Unknown Mami’s Top 3 Tips to Tackle Parenting Messes and Stress
- In parenting, DO NOT STRIVE FOR PERFECTION. If you do, you will always be disappointed. Instead, do your best and trust that your kid(s) will absorb your best.
- Always, always have wipes on hand! Even if you don’t have your kid(s) with you, they may have left their messy mark on you or your clothing when you weren’t paying attention. Baby wipes make cleaning up those messes far easier than using spit, toilet paper, or wet paper towels.
- Be willing and ready to laugh at yourself. Laughter is the ultimate stress reliever. Cultivate your sense of humor. Laugh at blunders and move on. If you don’t you may end up in tears.
I realize my tips aren’t revolutionary, but they are what works for me and my family. I guess if I were to add a fourth tip it would be that: Find what works for you and your family!
