I’m a sucker for love. Always have been, always will be. On my last visit to Lowe’s, I found a box of Tumbled Marble 4”x4” tiles at a steal. I decided to bring it home and turn it into some melted crayon art. Being that it is so close to Valentine’s Day, I guess you could say I made love for Valentine’s Day. A love sign, that is.
Here’s how I did it.
- I took 4 pieces of tile and used vinyl letters (also purchased at Lowe’s) to trace individual letters onto each tile. You could also use stencils or free-hand it.
- I cut a heart template out of a piece of paper and traced it onto one of the tiles as well.
- I used glitter Crayola crayons that I “borrowed” from my daughter and melted the end of then using a candle and then dotted the melted crayon onto the tiles.
- I kept switching up crayon colors and layered them on top of each other until I was happy with the results.
I love the way the sign came out and even though I made it with Valentine’s Day in mind, I am going to love it all year round.
