Going for Broke

by UnknownMami on July 3, 2009

I’ve been holding out. A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went on our first date since “Put Pie” was born. Heck, it’s our first date since way before the birth of our daughter. We really haven’t had much time to be a couple and it’s not good.

The reason I haven’t shared is that we got a little “wild” and I’ve been afraid of being judged. But you know what, we had a great time and I’m not ashamed. So here are the juicy details.

Originally, we were going to go see a friend’s band play, but I decided that I’d rather just spend time with my husband and he was pleasantly surprised.

We love going out to eat. I thought we would go to one of our regular spots, but Papi was having none of it. He kept saying, “We’re going for broke!” We ended up at a seafood place. I love seafood!

We sat at the bar while we waited for a table and since we were going for broke we ordered overpriced cocktails and can I just tell you that my husband is awesome because he will order a “girly” drink and think nothing of it. Later, we ordered an entire bottle of Proseco.

You should know that my husband is hot. And when I’m drunk, my husband is smokin’ hot.

Dinner was awesome. Dessert was the most amazing crème brûlée. The best part is that we were reminded of why we are together in the first place: we enjoy each other’s company and after eight years we still aren’t sick of each other.

Ok, this is where it gets a little risqué. We’re walking home holding hands feeling full, in love, and more than a little tipsy when we see a very good looking man (sort of like a young Burt Reynolds) giving us the eye. My husband and I looked at the man, looked at each other, and impulsively decided to take him home. I know it’s crazy picking up men off the street and taking them home with you, but we just couldn’t resist. I mean look at him.

Do you see the resemblance to Burt Reynolds?

Going on a date with my husband was wonderful and we absolutely have to do it more often. The only thing that worries me is that a few days after our date, completely sober and without me, my husband saw a very fertile-looking woman on the street and decided to bring her home. I hope this doen’t become a habit.

Cheat on Your Wife

by UnknownMami on May 18, 2009

If you are reading this blog, especially if you are my Unknown Husband, please be aware that I do not endorse you cheating on your wife.

I was looking at the ads that appear on this blog and one of them reads:

Cheat on Your Wife
Search Married Personals for Women Looking to Cheat Also. Join Free!

I’ve since blocked the ad, but apparently it takes a few hours to take effect.

Honestly, I’m just an Unknown Mami trying to start a college fund for my daughter, not a cyber-hustler promoting extra-curricular activities.

The Demise Continues

by UnknownMami on May 18, 2009

I mentioned earlier (Female Hysteria ) that I am falling apart. Well, the demise continues.

It started with a crazy swollen middle finger. Then an eye infection that is lingering. Now, I have some horrid cold.

I am convinced that it is my body rebelling and forcing me to take some much needed time for myself, but now I can’t enjoy the time because I am too sick.

Oh well, I’m using the time to catch up on old magazines and balance my checkbook. And I’m enjoying being taken care of by a husband who is a great cook.

Unknown Husband just made me a homemade meatball sandwich! Yum.
